Come November 1, people all over the world celebrate the halloween. Kids come in costume for the Trick ot Treats while the adults have halloween parties.

In the Philippines, there is something aside from the halloween thing. November 1, and 2, is remembering the departed loved ones. People come to cemetery to visit our loved ones, how long it may had gone since they went away. Otherwise, don't be surprised if you see candles lit in front of Filipino homes. It's our way of praying for the souls when we can't come visit them in the cemetery. 

You see, we, Filipinos, are very particular with close family ties that even when a family member, or a close friend, is gone, we see to it that they are always remembered.
