Fireflies
Prince and I arrived at Puerto Princesa Airport at I think 12:20 Thursday afternoon then checked in at the hotel where we are supposed to stay. It was a gloomy afternoon in Palawan and as Vienna told me, I'm afraid we cannot have our Firefly tour in the evening if the rain persisted. Luckily, few hours before our pick up time, the rain stopped, giving way to our Firefly Watching with the group.

There was only about 20 percent of the fireflies present that night due to the strong winds. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the view as they amazingly lit up the mangrove. It's a plus factor that kuya Anthony, our 'bangkero' was cool enough to entertain us. He's got a lot of stories and shared information, too. With him, I've learned not only about the fireflies, but about the Iwahig prisoners and other facts about the place, as well.
It is indeed a must see when they lit up all together at once. It's like a tree of Christmas lights. Kuya Anthony said that lighting is their defense from lights which they thought were their enemies.
